Saturday: 03/10/09I was awoken at 10am by a phone call delivering good news to me that nothing positive was found from my culture urine test. It is very comforting to know that I am in the pink of health. Thankfully, with this phone call I did not oversleep for my colleague wedding luncheon at Mandarin Oriental. In fact, I had mixed up the commencement time, I thought it would start at 12pm and instead the cocktail session started at 12.30pm. Haha, though I planned to be late for 30mins because all wedding lunch/dinner will commence at least an hour later from the given arrival time but in fact I was punctual. I must say that it was a blissful and superb wedding luncheon; the foods were delectable and the oriental ambience with red lanterns for décor because of Mid-Autumn Festival. They chose a very bubbly love song "Fallin’ For You" by Colbie Caillat for their wedding ceremony and I am now addicted to the song. Prior to this, I did not pay much attention to the song and treated it to be just a radio-friendly song. Now I do perceive that this song is quite a romantic and engaging song that delivers the feelings of being in love. Haha, thanks to the wedding because whenever I listened to this song, I will have inducement of falling in love too lol. I enjoy attending wedding luncheons/dinners not only I can relish good foods and witnessing couples to be husband and wife. Which I think is truly a blessing to find someone whom you can walk with eternally be it good or bad. Of course, I hope to find that someone too, though I much enjoy my single hood at the moment. I will trade it for love if I manage to find someone whom I want to spend my life with blissfully. Not to mention how exquisite the wedding gifts were, not your usual key chains etc. They actually prepared two types of gifts, depending on where you were seated as the two types of gifts were placed in an alternative manner. The other gift is a heart-shaped measuring spoon, which I think is something that is better to have but the gift that i have is perfectly fine too.
Hmm a heart-shaped paper weight with ding ding sound when shook
Well after the marvelous wedding luncheon, I went home with the intention to do my assignment to prepare for tomorrow group discussion. In the end, I could not contain my ineffable joy when I saw my Yesasia parcel in my letterbox. I had waited for eons for it to arrive and even tempted to send an email to report lost. I ordered the items on 12/09/09 and shipped on 18/09/09. By the time, it arrived in my letterbox; it was 03/10/09 (Usually, it will not take so long). That was a total of 21 days of waiting duration; those 21 days were aggravation, apprehension, anticipation and so on.

Therefore, you can imagine the tears when I saw it and to hold it on my hands lol. I decided to chuck my assignment aside and watched my Namie’s Best Fiction DVD after abstained from watching ready online clips. I must kudos to Namie for putting up such a magnificent show, the stage was impressive with huge LED screen lights that change to the beats of the songs, the exceptional-executed dance moves that makes you go WOO, a jam-packed concert of soaring energy that radiated from her songs, smiles, dances and thunderous cheers from the audiences. Well, I certainly hope that Namie will bring her future concerts to the next level and continue her legacy that never fails to amaze us =).
Haha, because of this 2.5 hrs of awesome performances, I had to take a cab to Vanessa’s house for our Mid-Autumn Festive celebration and had our very first hotpot session.
Kinda dangerous because drivers cannot focus for blind spot, because of our lanterns and us.
haha, I think it is definitely worth paying for the cab fare lol. Without any doubt, cabbie loves to talk to me, when I just want enjoy my newly transferred mp3 of Susanna Kwan's songs.
Yesasia provides free shipping when you ordered more than US$39 (It used to be US$25), which explained why you see two other items in my parcel. In order to make up the sum to US$39, I ordered a movie, which starred my favourite actress of all times
Carol Cheng (I first noticed her from her TVB drama serial "The Legend of Lady Chung aka 钟无艳" [I bought that serial lol]), haha I just adore her she is so witty, comical, classy and yummy haha lol.
Susanna Kwan a veteran singer who possesses an excellent voice, I know her through
Heart of Greed and
Moonlight Resonance, she acted and sang the theme songs. Haha, she is one noisy woman in the top-rated shows. Who can deny that she acted very well in both shows, especially her role in Moonlight Resonance so bitchy, grumpy, and irksome that you will hate and love at the end of the show.
P.S. Susanna’s collections of songs are good, heng it was not a disappointment purchase.
Sunday: 04/10/09My Sunday afternoon started with my second and last group meeting for my final assignment for the module. Haha, it is just incredible to be able to finish our discussion and delegate our tasks within two meetings. To be honest, I do not really fancy having to always meet up for discussions and glad that we did not have many hinders.
After the 90mins discussion, I headed to Rina’s house for Hari Raya celebration. My first invitation from her for Hari Raya celebration was in 2004, the year we were acquainted. Since then every year, I feel privileged for the invitation to her house because not only the foods that her mother prepared are scrumptious and the most integral is that we are good friends. I am glad to know her at NYP though we were from different course. Ever since, we became good friends; times shared with her are truly amazing, always loaded with laughter, and ineffable joys. It is cool that we are still in close contact despite being preoccupied with our own obligations.
Here I am, with my D&D Bakit shirt lol.
This is the first celebration in 2004.
